On July 22, 2025, EPA Region 6 issued an Administrative Order under its authority pursuant to Section 1423(c) of the SDWA, 42 U.S.C. 300h-2(c) to PE-Osage, LLC (Respondent) located near Pawhuska, Oklahoma. The Proposed AO was issued in response to violations of: 40 CFR Sections 147.2903(b), 147.2909, 147.2912(a). The final AO requires the Respondent to successfully demonstrate mechanical integrity of the injection well, plug the injection well or convert it to production use. The Respondent must respond to EPA Region 6 within 30 days after receiving the AO.
