On June 2, 2025, 2025, Region 3 and City of Rockville ( Rockville ) agreed to an Administrative Order on Consent ( AOC ). Rockville is a public water system. The cited violations include failure to implement a cross-connection control program plan ( CCCP plan ). This enforcement action is in furtherance of EPA's Pillar 1,  Clean Air, Land, and Water for Every American.  Rockville agreed to implement the CCCP plan approved by Maryland Department of the Environment (MDE) on April 25, 2025. EPA has consulted with MDE during the development of this action.
