The Village of Estherwood has been issued an Administrative Order following effluent exceedances from the Estherwood Sewerage Treatment Facility, triggering violations under the Clean Water Act (CWA). The Respondent will have thirty (30) days to respond to the Order on how they will come into compliance with their NPDES Permit. This facility was referred to the EPA by LDEQ, which was ultimately referred to the Southwest Environmental Finance Center (SWEFC), based out of New Mexico, for technical assistance, as well as assistance in applying for funding.
