The Expedited Settlement Agreement for South Central FS Humboldt, Humboldt, Illinois was prepared to resolve violations regarding Section 112(r) of the Clean Air Act (CAA) and violations of the Chemical Accident Prevention Provisions (CAPP), 40 C.F.R. Part 68.
The facility failed to comply with regulatory requirements related to their Risk Management Plan Off-site Consequence Analysis, Hazard Review, Maintenance, Compliance Audits, and Risk Management Plan submissions as required by the CAPP under 40 C.F.R. Part 68. We discovered these violations during an on-site inspection of the facility on October 29, 2024.
