On August 13, 2025, EPA Region 10 issued an Administrative Compliance Order to Tamarack Mill LLC DBA Evergreen Forest ( Respondent?) to address violations of the Idaho Multi-Sector General Permit (MSGP) for Stormwater Discharges by Tamarack Mill LLC, located in New Meadows, ID. Alleged violations include the unauthorized discharge of process wastewater, failure to post a sign of permit coverage, failure to maintain good housekeeping measures, failure to conduct spill prevention and response measures, failure to document routine facility inspections, failure to submit quarterly visual assessments, failure to timely submit discharge monitoring reports, failure to document unauthorized non-stormwater discharge and employee training in the SWPPP, failure to maintain spill reduction measures, and failure to complete additional inspection requirements. The Respondent has agreed to pay a penalty of $45,000 and has returned to compliance. The estimated cost of injunctive relief is $5800.
