On July 30, 2025, Region 1 settled an administrative penalty action against Webco Chemical Corporation ( Webco ). In the Matter of Webco Chemical Corporation ( CWA case ), alleging a violation of Section 301(a) of the Clean Water Act ( CWA ) has been finalized and is pending completion until the public notice requirements of the Clean Water Act have been fulfilled. Webco operates a chemical blending and repackaging facility in Dudley, MA (the Facility ). The CAFO in the CWA case alleges that Webco violated Section 301(a) of the CWA by discharging stormwater associated with industrial activity without a NPDES permit.
