On December 17, 2024, EPA, Region 6 conducted an investigation of an incident that occurred October 10, 2024, at Simmons Prepared Foods Inc.?s (?Simmons?) facility located in Siloam Springs, Arkansas (the ?Facility?). The purpose of the investigation was to determine Simmons? compliance with the requirements of the CAA, specifically the Chemical Accident Prevention Provisions. The information currently available to EPA, collected as a result of the investigation, suggests that Simmons Prepared Foods Inc. may be in violation of the CAA.
