The Orders address the following violations: failure to develop and submit a Lead Service Line Inventory by October 16, 2024; failure to notify customers of any lead service lines, galvanized service lines, or unknown service lines; and failure to make the Lead Service Line Inventory publicly available. Among other requirements, the Agency ordered the Systems; to develop and submit a Lead Service Line Inventory; notify customers served by lead, galvanized, or unknown service lines; make the Lead Service Line Inventory publicly available; and notify the public of the violations. The State of Montana provided the Systems with compliance assistance prior to referring them to EPA for enforcement action.
