On September 8, 2025, EPA Region 1 filed an Expedited Settlement Agreement ( ESA ) with Mama Rosie's LLC, to resolve a violation of the Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-Know Act's requirement to submit an annual chemical inventory form ( Tier II ) for the anhydrous ammonia that the company uses for refrigeration purposes at its pasta plant in Boston, Massachusetts. The ESA requires compliance and payment of a $5,000 penalty. Massachusetts is not delegated to implement this program.
