EPA's January 27, 2026 CAFO with Unitek resolves a total of eight RCRA hazardous waste violations originally alleged in EPA's August 6, 2025 Civil Administrative Complaint. Specifically, the eight violations include Unitek's failure to: 1) Submit a Hazardous Secondary Materials Notification; 2) Perform a Waste Determination; 3) Comply with Transporter's Manifest Requirements; 4) Storage without a Permit; 5) Install a Leak Detection System on a Hazardous Waste Tank; 6) Document Daily Inspections for a Hazardous Waste Tanks; 7) Determine if the Hazardous Waste Tank's Equipment is Subject to teh RCRA Air Emission Standards for Leaky Equipment; and 8) Determine the Average VO Concentrations for Hazardous Waste in Tank.
