Cost Recovery Settlement reached between Congoleum Corporation, Liberty Mutual, and the United States for the Henderson Road Superfund Site and the Spectron, Inc. Superfund Site. On September 30, the EPA signed a settlement agreement with Congoleum Corporation (debtor) and Liberty Mutual, the debtor?s insurance carrier, on the U.S?s Proof of Claim in the bankruptcy proceeding related to the liability of Congoleum at the Henderson Road Superfund Site and for the Spectron Inc. Site. Liberty Mutual will provide payment of $449,299.31 to the United States, as resolution against the debtor for both Sites, with $26,154.81 for the Spectron Special Account and $423,169.50 for the Henderson Road Special Account.
