On October 24, 2025, EPA Region 6 issued an Administrative Order under its authority pursuant to Section 309 of the Clean Water Act (33 U.S.C. ? 1251 et seq.) to Murphy Exploration & Production Company ? USA located in the Gulf of America. The AO was issued in response to violations identified during a file review for the monitoring period end date of May 13, 2023 to May 31, 2025 and in a compliance evaluation inspection conducted by the United States Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement (BSEE) on January 7, 2025. The compliance deadline is within thirty (30) calendar days of receipt of the AO.
