On December 30, 2025, EPA Region 6 issued an Administrative Order (AO) under its authority pursuant to Section 309 of the Clean Water Act to the City of Woodville South Wastewater Treatment Facility in Houston, Texas. The AO was issued in response to multiple permit violations of their NPDES permit at the wastewater treatment facility. The AO requires the facilities to 1) immediately comply with the permit, 2) submit a list of specific actions taken to correct the violations with a certification that the violations have been corrected, or 3) submit a compliance plan if the violations cannot be corrected within 30 days. The Respondent must reply to EPA within 30 days of the effective dated of the AO.
