This Administrative Settlement Agreement and Order on Consent is entered into voluntarily by the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Port of Seattle, City of Seattle, and King County. This Settlement provides for the performance of a Remedial Design (RD) by Respondents and the payment of certain response costs incurred by the United States at or in connection with the East Waterway Operable Unit (EWOU) of the Harbor Island Superfund Site located immediately to the southwest of the downtown area of Seattle, Washington.
