AFP violated its Title V Permit by not properly storing VOC-containing materials, including waste resin, to prevent evaporation and by failing to keep all containers closed, violating Sections A.1.(1)(b) and (c) of the permit. Additionally, AFP failed to use a mixer cover with gaps less than 1 inch around the mixer shaft and did not keep the cover closed during mixing, violating Sections A.2.(2)(d)(i) and (iii) of the permit. We discovered these violations during our May 16, 2024 inspection.
This CAFO requires Advanced Fiber Products to pay a penalty of $62,698, and resolves the NOV issued to Advanced Fiber Products on May 23, 2025.
