On February 12, 2026, Region 1 finalized an Administrative Order on Consent to resolve alleged violations of the Clean Water Act by MHI Properties, LLC and Robert Reed Jr. The matter arose from Respondents' unpermitted filling of wetlands and other waters of the United States on property in Suffield, Connecticut. Under the settlement, Respondents must remove an unpermitted stream crossing and permanently protect Little Brook and approximately 31.9 acres of wetlands and waters through a deed restriction and wetland boundary markers. Region 1 coordinated with OECA, the Connecticut Department of Energy & Environmental Protection, and the Corps on this matter.
