On February 13, 2026, EPA Region 1 issued a Notice of Warning (NOW) to a pesticide distributor based in Vermont, Guy's Farm and Yard. The NOW addressed the company's repackaging and sale of a misbranded pesticide product. FIFRA Section 12(a)(2)(L), 7 U.S.C. Section 136j(a)(2)(L) prohibits any establishment from producing a pesticide, an act that includes repackaging and relabeling, without being registered with the EPA. Further, FIFRA Section 12(a)(1)(E), 7 U.S.C. Section 136j(a)(1)(E) prohibits the sale of a misbranded pesticide. The NOW stated that the company had seven (7) calendar days to submit a statement of corrective actions the company has taken, or plans to take, to address the alleged FIFRA violations. The Vermont Agency of Agriculture was notified of the issuance of the NOW.
