U.S. EPA entered into a Consent Agreement and Final Order with Waste Management of Alameda County to settle violation of the Clean Air Act relating to prohibited venting of treated landfill gas at the Altamont Landfill. Waste Management of Alameda County will pay a penalty of $215,000.
