On April 28, 2026, the Region entered into an administrative order on consent ( AOC ) with the Town of Waterville Valley, New Hampshire memorializing the schedule agreed to between EPA and the Town for planning, designing, and constructing improvements to the Town's wastewater treatment facility that are necessary to comply with the ammonia nitrogen effluent limit set forth in the Town's NPDES permit by May 1, 2031. The AOC provides the Town with interim limits for ammonia nitrogen and the Town is also required to submit semi-annual progress reports to EPA and the New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services ( NHDES ), summarizing its compliance with each obligation under the order.
