The EPA alleged that Inseal failed to take a reasonable response to pressure drop readings outside the normal range for the baghouse associated with one of its mixers; and either maintain daily records of the pressure drop across its baghouses or include in its daily record the reason for the lack of a pressure drop reading.
To resolve the alleged violations, Inseal has agreed to pay a civil penalty of $47,024. Inseal has already implemented an improved recordkeeping system to ensure compliance monitoring and recordkeeping requirements in its FESOP.
