This referral requests that DOJ initiate civil litigation against LaFarge for violations of the CWA at seven sites in Colorado. LaFarge has violated the CWA by failing to comply with the conditions of its storm water general permits, specifically, LaFarge failed to properly design, implement and/or maintain adequate Storm Water Management Plans, failed to properly design, implement and/or maintain best management practices, and failed to perform inspections at the required frequency.
