U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (U.S. EPA) Region 5 issued a Finding of Violation (FOV) under the Clean Air Act to Godfrey Marine (Godfrey) for their facility located at 300 E. Chicago Street, Syracuse, Indiana. U.S. EPA issued the FOV for non-compliance with the National Emission Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants for Boat Manufacturing at 40 C.F.R. Part 63, Subpart VVVV. Godfrey expeditiously reformulated its aluminum wipedown solvents to achieve compliance with the air pollution emission limits. Per the CAFO, Godfrey will pay a penalty of $45,853. A Supplemental Environmental Project (SEP) will not be implemented.
