On August 26, 2005, Underground Warehouses Inc. had a 3711 lb release of anhydrous ammonia into the environment. Anhydrous ammonia is a hazardous substance under CERCLA with a reportable quantity of 100 lbs. This release was 37 times the RQ and the NRC was notified 18 hours after the incident.
