U.S. EPA alleged that Kimble Glass (Kimble) violated the 30% visual emissions limitation at its glass melting furnace (Furnace B) exhaust stack at the companyÂs Chicago Heights, Illinois facility. The alleged violations were discovered by U.S. EPA during a Clean Air Act related compliance inspection conducted on January 19, 2006. Kimble has agreed to pay a penalty of $16,000 for the SIP and Title V violations.
