This is an Administrative Order (AO) for compliance pursuant to the Clean Water Act issued to Bruce Industries in Dayton, Nevada. The violation involves the new source Federal metal finishing standards at 40 CFR 433. Bruce Indistries, an industrial user, operated in a sewer district without an approved pretreatment program, and accordingly, without a valid permit. The Order establishes interim requirements for Bruce Industries to increase the capability and capacity of its pretreatment program, to cease diluion as a substitute for treatment, and to self-monitor, in order to consistently comply with the Federal standards.
