VIOLATIONS: The Respondent's oil field lease was a point source discharge of pollutants, specifically produced water (brine), to the receiving waters of a tributary of Post Oak Creek, located in the Northwest Quarter of Section 15, Township 4 South, Range 3 West, Carter County, Oklahoma. A September 19, 2006, EPA inspection documented brine had been previously discharged from the lease.
RELIEF: The Order specifies that the Respondent should remove an overflow discharge pipe located at a pond on the lease; take the necessary steps to prevent future discharges; and to submit a plan of corrective actions to prevent future discharges.
