An EPA inspection performed on October 25, 2006, found Petco Petroleum Corp. (Respondent) to be in violation of the CWA and the Federal NPDES program. The violation consist of the unauthorized discharge of a pollutant, oil field brine, to the receiving waters of a tributary of the Cimarron River.
The Administrative Order being issued is to immediately cease all discahrges of pollutants from the Respondents facility, and to remove the brine from the impacted water body.
