This Unilateral Administrative Order is issued pursuant to CERCLA Section 106 against El Paso Merchant Energy Petroleum Company. The Order requires El Paso to conduct a removal action at the Abbott Mine and Turkey Mine site to reduce inflow of mercury from nearby tailings and ore piles in order to protect the Cache Creek watershed.
