This facility was one of many inspected in the Binghamton, NY, area in fulfillment of the USTCA inspection requirement. The facility was issued Field Citation II-UST-FC-1049, in the amount of $900, for the following violations: 40 CFR 280.44(a): failure to conduct annual test of the operation of automatic line leak detectors; 280.44: failure to provide any release detection for underground piping; 280.40(a): failure to provide release detection method for tanks; and 280.31(b): failure to ensure proper operation of cathodic protection system.
