An NPDES inspection on September 13, 2006 was conducted on Southern Draw Dairy by the NMED. Several NMG010050 permit violations were noted including not containing runoff from feed and silage storage areas, not documenting enough freeboard in lagoon cell #3, allowing manure solids to accumulate in the west lagoon, allowing wastewater levee overflows between lagoons, and not documenting that nutrients were applied to land application field SD#3. An AO is being issued for these permit violations.
