This is a Federal Facility Agreement with NASA for the Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, California, a 176-acre federally-funded research and development center that historically developed rocket fuel and at which hazardous substances were disposed in subterranean sumps during the 1940s and 1950s. Soil at the site and groundwater on and off-site contain contaminants including volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and perchlorate. The Site was placed on the National Priority List in 1992.
