VIOLATIONS: The Respondent's oil field facility was a point source discharge of pollutants, specifically oil field brine (produced water), to the receiving waters of a tributary of Pine Creek, located in Stephens County, Oklahoma. The EPA observed the facility had discharged brine during inspections conducted on January 25, 2007.
RELIEF: The Class I Complaint proposes up to a $14,100 penalty for the violation. No SEP has been negotiated or agreed upon to reduce the proposed penalty.
