On January 29, 2007, Region 2 issued an Administrative Order on Consent to the United States Department of the Navy under Section 7003 of RCRA, establishing the Navy's obligations for completing the clean-up of the Naval Activity Puerto Rico (formerly Naval Station Roosevelt Roads) base. The base is located on the east coast of Puerto Rico. EPA and the Navy negotiated the Section 7003 Consent Order to address completion of clean-up for the entire facility. The order requires work at 77 solid waste management units and 6 areas of concern at the facility.
