The facility has an on-site septic system which received embalming fluids until early 2006, when the facility implemented the medical waste box/waterless aspirator. At the time of the inspection, the facility had not sampled the septic system to determine whether residual contamination is present. The EPA requests that the facility provide a closure plan to sample and remediate, as necessary.
