Violation: The Respondent's tank battery facility located in the Southeast Quarter of Section 6, Township 5 South, Range 1 East, was a point source discharge of pollutants to waters of the US. An EPA inspection conducted on July 25, 2007 cited the unauthorized discharge of oil field brine. The impacted water body is a wetlands immediately adjacent to Demijohn Creek.
Relief: An AO is being issued requiring the Respondent to immediately cease all discharges of pollutants from the facility; remove the brine from the impacted water body; and to submit written certification that the previously mentioned tasks have been completed.
