Summary

Violation: The Respondent's tank battery facility located in the Southwest Quarter of Section 10, Township 3 South, Range 5 West, was a point source discharge of pollutants to waters of the US. An EPA inspection conducted on July 26, 2007 cited the unauthorized discharge of oil field brine. The impacted water body is a tributary of Negro Creek. Relief: An AO is being issued requiring the Respondent to immediately cease all discharges of pollutants from the facility; remove the brine from the impacted water body; remove or neutralize all the brine contaminated soil inbetween the facility and the impacted water body; and to submit written certification that the previously mentioned tasks have been completed.
