Violation: Respondent's facility was a point source discharge of pollutants to waters of the US . The facility was a drilling operation in Ellis Co., TX. The facility was inspected on October 10, 2007. During the inspection the EPA inspector cited a violation to the Clean Water Act (the Act). The violation was the unauthorized discharge of drilling mud to a tributary of the South Fork Trinity River.
Relief: An Administrative Order for Compliance is being issued Ordering the Respondent to: cease all discharges of pollutants from the facility; remove all the drilling mud from the impacted water body; and to submit written certification that the previous mentioned activities have been completed.
