Ganes failed to submit required Dc notification for 2 boilers subject to the regulation. In addition, Ganes operates an industrial refrigerant unit for which it failed to comply with the leak detectin regulations at 40 CFR 82 Subpart F. The amount required by this Stipulation is $303,600 to be paid in three installments: w/in 30 days of the filing of the Stipulation - 75,000, w/in one year $75,000 and w/i two years - $153,600.
Collection action, enforcement #02-2003-0024 opened via telephone referral on 06/26/2003 to bring Ganes into compliance.
Ganes Chemical paid $308,837.70 ($303,600 paid to principle and $5237.70 paid to interest) in April 2005.
