EPA determined that respondents waste purge solvent is a hazardous waste and subject to Subparts AA, BB, CC and J of 40 CFR 264/265. The purge solvent is used to removed paint waste & clean (purge) the pain applicators & a portion of the paint delivery lines in the Respondents spray painting operations. The waste pinge solvent is a characteristic hazardous waste for ignitability and has a high total organic concentration.
