'Dupont disclosed possible violations to the EPA pursuant to EPA''s insentive for Self-Policing: Discovery, Disclosure, Correction and Preventation of Violations about their  Brine System  being subject to 40 CFR 82, Subpart F, Refrigerant Leak, Repair and Recordkeeping.  EPA reviewed the information submitted by Dupont and issued a final Notice of Determination (NOD) on Feb. 26, 2002.  This NOD eliminated 100% of the total gravity based penalty and the amount of the Economic Benefit portion of the penalty was very low, therefore, EPA did not want to collect this penalty (CAA-02-2001-0847).
Than EPA issued this Compliance Order to order Dupont to comply with all applicable 40 CFR 82, Subpart F regulations related to their  Brine System  Feb. 26, 2002.'
