This is a Civil Judicial Referral asking the Department of Justice to file an action on behalf of EPA pursuant to section 7003 of RCRA. EPA is seeking to have a Federal District Court judge issue a compliance order to Republic Industries and related corporate entities who have RCRA violations involving release of solid waste into the environment from a landfill site. EPA is seeking injunctive relief requiring Republic Industries and related corporate entities to properly close this landfill.
