Multi-facility settlement in conjunction with Regions 2, 4, 5 and 7 concerning violations of 40 C.F.R. Part 265, Subparts J and BB HQ has ok'd for Region 3 to change the penalty amount from $16,000 to $18,000. We rec'd OECA's permission to make this change. HQ understands that our region certified $16,000 for this case however, ICIS should reflect correct penalty amount. The numbers break down by Regional Docket numbers are: Region 2 (02-2003-7104 - $20,000); Region 2 (03-2003-0062 - $18,000); Region 4 (04-2003-41001(b) - $54,000); Region 5 (5-99-010 - $18,000); Region 5 (05-2003-0003 - $102,000); and Region 7 (07-2003-0050 - $32,000). Total amount is $244,000 which are the sums of the numbers in the previous sentence. Note: Region 5 issued a complaint (5-99-010) which has a proposed assessed penalty.
