## Summary

VIOLATIONS: The Respondent tank battery facility was a point source discharge of pollutants, specifically brine, to the receiving waters of a tributary of Spring Creek, located in the Northwest Quarter of Section 4, Township 16 North, Range 7 East, Creek County, Oklahoma. The discharge of brine was documented during a December 11, 2002, inspection.

RELIEF: Upon notification of the inspection findings, the REspondent immediately creased the discharge and began a flush and vacuum cleanup effort of the contaminated tributary. Additionally, the respondent removed the drain pipe from the tank battery wall which was discharging the brine outside the containment area. The Order specifies that the Respondent should also take steps to restore the brine contaiminated area in the flow path and in the tributary by applying soil amendments to neutralize the sodium chloride. A follow-up inspection within 30 days will determine the extend of compliance with the Order.
