This is a UAO pursuant to CERCLA 106 issued to GTE Corporation. This order was originally issued to Verizon Communications as occupant of a facility known as the GTE Government Systems site. The name of the Respondent was changed to GTE Corporation, instead of Verizon, when all parties acknowledged that this was the appropriate legal successor corporation to GTE Government Systems. The order directs a time-critical removal action consisting of installation of a sub-slab depressurization system at a home impacted by vapor intrusion of TCE from groundwater contamination at the former GTE Government Systems facility.
