A multi-media inspection of the school uncovered RCRA violations in its Laboratories,
Marshall University owned and operated a Hazardous Waste facility W/O a permit, and improperly handled used oil. Marshall University also had not certified its refrigerant recovery equipment with EPA. A penalty of $15,400 was assessed for the RCRA violations.
