Summary

Violations: The respondent's tank battery facility was a point source discharge of pollutants specifically brine, to the receiving waters of a tributary of the Cimarron River, locted in the Northeast Quarter of Section 4, Township 18, North, Range 5 East, Payne County, Ok. The discharge of brine was documented during a May 21, 2003, inspection. RELIEF: The Order requires the Respondent to immediately cease all discharges from the facility to the tributary and to remediate soil contaminatin to prevent additional storm water associated discharges to the tributary. Additionally, the Order asks the Respondent to consider: (1) constructing adequate secondary containment; (2) installing a pump to remove standing fluid from the tank battery containment; and (3) repair leaking connections, tanks, etc contributing to surface brine leaks. A follow-up inspection will determine the extend of compliance with the Order.
