Respondent is an offshore operator that performs oil and gas exploration and production activities in the western portion of the Gulf of Mexico and primarily has Clean Water Act (CWA) National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) discharges from offshore platforms. A 5 year review of their NPDES Outer Continental Shelf (federal waters) file was performed and Respondent was found to have improperly reported or failed to report effluent results from their discharges and they are being ordered to assure compliance with the NPDES permit monitoring and reporting requirements.
