## Abstract

This regulation establishes time-limited tolerances for residues of dimethenamid, 2-chloro-N-[(1-methyl-2-methoxy)ethyl]-N-(2,4- dimethylthien-3-yl)-acetamide in or on dry bulb onions, sugar beets roots, tops, pulp and molasses. This action is in response to EPA's granting of an emergency exemption under section 18 of the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act authorizing use of the pesticide on dry bulb onions and sugar beets. This regulation establishes a maximum permissible level for residues of dimethenamid in these food commodities. The tolerances will expire and are revoked on December 31, 2002.
