## Abstract

Under the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act, as amended by the Hazardous and Solid Waste Amendments, States may develop and implement permit programs for municipal solid waste landfills (MSWLFs) for review and an adequacy determination by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). This final rule documents EPA's determination that Rhode Island's MSWLF permit program is adequate to ensure compliance with Federal MSWLF requirements.
