This regulation establishes a time-limited exemption from the requirement of a tolerance for residues of the plant-pesticides Bacillus thuringiensis Cry1F protein and the genetic material necessary for its production in corn on field corn, sweet corn, and popcorn when applied/used as a plant-pesticide. Mycogen Seeds c/o Dow AgroSciences LLC submitted a petition to EPA under the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act, as amended by the Food Quality Protection Act of 1996, requesting an exemption from the requirement of a tolerance.
